USCCB Praises “Dream Act” and Immodestly Dressed Latino Movie

I guess the Bishops want to promote Latino Marriages – just not Modesty In Dress while Dating – to ensure the Validity of Those Marriages.

Grandfathers and Dads who do not correct their daughters – and who do not insist on modest dressing, while dating – don’t give a damn about their daughters or granddaughters.

I look a lot higher than the USCCB for my “inspiration.”

The “Dream Act” is praised by Cardinal Dolan. What a “Politically Correct” statement.
That infuriates me too. Free College for Latino Immigrants, but not US Citizens. That is setting up a situation for envy and doing that to Tax Payers is not fair.

I see this movie promoted by the Bishops as dumb. No immodestly dressed girl who dates is practicing chaste dating. Pushing them into marriage, by family members is hardly praise worthy. In real life those marriages are not valid from the consent.

The USCCB has made a Mistake in choosing “The Acton Institute” as their “Consulting Firm.”

Robert sirico

Since Rev. Robert Sirico is under investigation – choosing his entrepreneurial business called “The Acton Institute” is now a “Conflict of Interest” that will cause the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) much embarrassment in the future.

The USCCB has made a mistake in choosing “The Acton Institute” as their “Consulting Firm.” I think that the  Bishops, should rescind this decisions! The open-letter to Rome that is online right now, called “The Sirico Brief” is proof that the information in that Brief, has been presented to The Vatican for an Investigation. While a priest and his activities in all his endeavors are under investigation or has been requested by the laity, to be investigated, I think you USCCB should “reconsider” your decision to allow “The Acton Insitute” to be your Consulting Firm.

Read: The “Sirico Brief” (online) and then decide whether you want to risk later embarrassments for having chosen “The Acton Institute” to be your new “Consulting Firm.”

Given that on Friday, November 10, 2012 Pope Benedict XVI decried the violences of Organized Crime Syndicates” and given that Rev. Robert Sirico is related to 5 Mafia Families – and was accused of having threatened a local business woman, with “ruin” by his Mafia Family as late as 2007.

So, I think the USCCB,  must NOT hire “The Acton Institute,” to do their consulting work, for them. It would be a grave mistake to allow it.

I do not think the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops want the Mafia, to make in-roads into the Catholic Church, via “The Acton Institute.”

In My Humble Opinion, it would be the biggest mistake of their lives, and for generations to come. Recall the Mob uses “front businesses,” to look credible.

If I end up dead, then you’ll know what happened. Pray for me, in case I go to Purgatory. You many not like me, but pray for me anyways. I just may make it into heaven, by your prayers….Or I’ll ask God to hit you up side the head, to remind you to pray for me. :’(

Yet, I have Saint Joan of Arc as my Patron Saint, and I guess that I am following in her footsteps, in coming forward.

Mass Readings for August 23, 2012 from USCCB Website

Thursday of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary Time
Lectionary: 422

Reading 1 Ez 36:23-28

Thus says the LORD:
I will prove the holiness of my great name,
profaned among the nations,
in whose midst you have profaned it.
Thus the nations shall know that I am the LORD, says the Lord GOD,
when in their sight I prove my holiness through you.
For I will take you away from among the nations,
gather you from all the foreign lands,
and bring you back to your own land.
I will sprinkle clean water upon you
to cleanse you from all your impurities,
and from all your idols I will cleanse you.
I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you,
taking from your bodies your stony hearts
and giving you natural hearts.
I will put my spirit within you and make you live by my statutes,
careful to observe my decrees.
You shall live in the land I gave your ancestors;
you shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Responsorial Psalm Ps 51:12-13, 14-15, 18-19

R. (Ezekiel 36:25) I will pour clean water on you and wash away all your sins.
A clean heart create for me, O God,
and a steadfast spirit renew within me.
Cast me not out from your presence,
and your Holy Spirit take not from me.
R. I will pour clean water on you and wash away all your sins.
Give me back the joy of your salvation,
and a willing spirit sustain in me.
I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners shall return to you.
R. I will pour clean water on you and wash away all your sins.
For you are not pleased with sacrifices;
should I offer a burnt offering, you would not accept it.
My sacrifice, O God, is a contrite spirit;
a heart contrite and humbled, O God, you will not spurn.
R. I will pour clean water on you and wash away all your sins.

Gospel Mt 22:1-14

Jesus again in reply spoke to the chief priests and the elders of the people in parables saying,
“The Kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king
who gave a wedding feast for his son.
He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast,
but they refused to come.
A second time he sent other servants, saying,
‘Tell those invited: “Behold, I have prepared my banquet,
my calves and fattened cattle are killed,
and everything is ready; come to the feast.”‘
Some ignored the invitation and went away,
one to his farm, another to his business.
The rest laid hold of his servants,
mistreated them, and killed them.
The king was enraged and sent his troops,
destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
Then the king said to his servants, ‘The feast is ready,
but those who were invited were not worthy to come.
Go out, therefore, into the main roads
and invite to the feast whomever you find.’
The servants went out into the streets
and gathered all they found, bad and good alike,
and the hall was filled with guests.
But when the king came in to meet the guests
he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment.
He said to him, ‘My friend, how is it
that you came in here without a wedding garment?’
But he was reduced to silence.
Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet,
and cast him into the darkness outside,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.’
Many are invited, but few are chosen.”

Leaked E-Mail shows Media Campaign against US Bishops” :: Catholic News Agency (CNA)

Click here: for the articleLeaked e-mail shows media campaign against US bishops :: Catholic News Agency (CNA).

The June 7 e-mail came from John Gehring, President Obama’sFaith in Public Life Program Director.

(Memorize his face: and pray for him and for the failure of his evil plans).

A leaked e-mail shows that the Democratic-leaning organization “Faith in Public Life” is running a behind-the-scenes media effort to undercut the U.S. bishops and the “Fortnight for Freedom” events intended to rally opposition to the HHS mandate.

(Obama’s) “Faith in Public Life’s” recommended sources for interviews, as listed in Gehring’s e-mail, are John Gehring, Duquesne University law professor Nicholas Cafardi, Fordham University theology department chair Terrence W. Tilley, Boston College theology professor Lisa Sowle Cahill, Notre Dame Law School professor M. Cathleen Kaveny, Fairfield University religious studies professor Paul Lakeland, and Fr. Thomas Reese, S.J. of the Woodstock Theological Center.

The Catholic League’s Bill Donohue was critical of the media effort, saying “Gehring’s e-mail encouraged the media tovictimize the victim” and target those who refuse to compromise their principles.”

MY TWO CENTS WORTH

Interesting Note; that Democrats know which Catholic Democrats, like the liberal priest Fr. Thomas Reece are the  ”GO TO CATHOLICS” who are On OBAMA’S SIDE …. So the Liberal News Outlets will try to make minced-meat, out of the Catholic Message of the Fortnight for Religious Freedom. Weak Catholics will therefore, be tempted to go against their Bishop’s direction. Pray for them.

USCCB Galatians Chapter 3

“O stupid Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified?

(2) I want to learn only this from you: did you receive the Spirit from works of the law, or from faith in what you heard?

(3) Are you so stupid? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now ending with the flesh?

(4) Did you experience so many things in vain?—if indeed it was in vain.

(5) Does, then, the one who supplies the Spirit to you and works mighty deeds among you do so from works of the law or from faith in what you heard?

(6) Thus Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

(7) Realize then that it is those who have faith who are children of Abraham.

(8) Scripture, which saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, foretold the good news to Abraham, saying, “Through you shall all the nations be blessed.”

(9) Consequently, those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham who had faith.

(10) For all who depend on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not persevere in doing all the things written in the book of the law.”

(11) And that no one is justified before God by the law is clear, for “the one who is righteous by faith will live.”

(12) But the law does not depend on faith; rather, “the one who does these things will live by them.”

(13) Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree,”

(14) that the blessing of Abraham might be extended to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

My Two Cents Worth

I like how human Saint Paul was. He called the Galatians “stupid.” Boy oh boy, that’s my kind of Catholic! No bullshitting there.

I used to be a cattle rancher, on an 800 Acre Cattle Ranch and a 400 Acre Cattle Ranch. So, I know bullshit!

One of my favorite faults is ripping off pretensive “masks.” I can’t wait, to get to heaven and meet Saint Paul, in person and swap Catholic BS Stories, with him.

I know, I know. I have a sardonic sense of humor.

Mea culpa. :D

Revelation, Chapter 22 ~ Catholic Scriptures

20120530-160317.jpg

Revelations Chapter 22

(1) Then the angel showed me the river of life-giving water, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

(2) down the middle of its street. On either side of the river grew the tree of life, that produces fruit twelve times a year, once each month; the leaves of the trees serve as medicine for the nations.

(3) Nothing accursed will be found there anymore. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.

(4) They will look upon his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

(5) Night will be no more, nor will they need light from lamp or sun, for the Lord God shall give them light, and they shall reign forever and ever.

(6) And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true, and the Lord, the God of prophetic spirits, sent his angel to show his servants what must happen soon.”

(7) “Behold, I am coming soon.” Blessed is the one who keeps the prophetic message of this book.

(8) It is I, John, who heard and saw these things, and when I heard and saw them I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me.

(9) But he said to me, “Don’t! I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brothers the prophets and of those who keep the message of this book. Worship God.”

(10) Then he said to me, “Do not seal up the prophetic words of this book, for the appointed time is near.

(11) Let the wicked still act wickedly, and the filthy still be filthy. The righteous must still do right, and the holy still be holy.”

(12) “Behold, I am coming soon. I bring with me the recompense I will give to each according to his deeds.

(13) I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

(14) Blessed are they who wash their robes so as to have the right to the tree of life and enter the city through its gates.

(15) Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the unchaste, the murderers, the idol-worshipers, and all who love and practice deceit.

(16) “I, Jesus, sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, the bright morning star.”

(17) The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let the hearer say, “Come.” Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water.

(18) I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words in this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,

(19) and if anyone takes away from the words in this prophetic book, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city described in this book.

(20) The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

(21) The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

Colossians 1 (USCCB) – Economy of Salvation

ColossiansChapter1_USCCB_Website_Entire_Catholic_Bible_Online

The entire Catholic Bible is online on the USCCB Website. USCCB stands for; United States Catholic Conference of Bishops. (I like Colassians Chapter 1, very much.

Those of you who do not know God or Jesus very well, this First Chapter of Colossians reads easily, and understandably. It’s footnoted with hyperlinks for your further reading.

***The New American Bible (revised) is the Bible I have. It’s large print and easy to underline, because it’s not fancy. You may have your favorite Catholic Bible. Make sure it is really approved, by the Catholic Church, not dissident Catholics, whose aim is to re-write Scriptures, in their own foul image, not God’s image. Do your homework. Get it blessed, by a priest or deacon. Reverence it. It’s a Sacramental, after it is blessed.
*********************************************

Find out if your country has a similar website for it’s Catholic Bishops. If you have extensive knowledge on building awesome websites, turn your expertise into a service for God and His Church, in your country. Granted Bible Experts in your language and Biblical Languages is your Bishop’s Work to find, and approve of with the Papal Congregations and the Pope’s final approval.

Think about serving your Bishops put up a limitless website, where the Entire Bible and Primary Documents of the Catholic Church in your country and links to the Vatican website presents a “continuity” of the faith.

That’s my good deed, for the day. Hoping you who are young turn your gifts, for the Lord. There are enough people out there who are only Sunday only Catholics who use their Gifts and Talents against God.

You who are old give your Gifts and Talents back to God, Who gave them to you with at least an interest, or increase. Ask God for the Gift of Prayer, and at any age, God will grant it, whether mental, verbal or existential prayer. God always answers prayers: yes, no, silence or wait. He answers it in His Way, His Timing. Trust God, in all your ways. You will never be disappointed, by His Ever Present Friendship.

God is Love.” St John the Apostle says, in the Epistles of St John. So let us Love, LOVE in return. Pray for patience to love those who do not love or live for God. God is working on them. You may not see His Words take root in their souls. They need His Help, to “want” to break free, from habitual sins. Your duty is to pray for them. Love them and be patient with them.

How many times do we get in God’s Way, instead of letting Him work on their souls. We can say an applicable Scripture, but let God work on them. No one is drawn to God, if you act haughty in your Catholic Faith, while witnessing to others. St Francis of Assisi said, as much, when he walked through town, without saying a word. Your actions must reflect what you say, or you loose your ability to be a witness for Christ.

Be open to God’s interior stirrings in your soul. If your TV is on a secular channel pray for that person or persons that are on it. They may be deceased now, waiting for a Catholic who really believes in prayers for those in Purgatory, to pray for them and their family on earth. They will pray for you, and yours once they get to heaven, along with the Saints, who pray for you, whether you believe their in heaven or not. Saints are given by God Joy of One Repentant Sinner on Earth. They shout out with cries of joy.

Yes. I do not measure up to the world’s idea of beauty. I am old and a faded flower. Yet, God loves and lives in the souls of the elderly, sick and infirm. Never discount their worth. They are a “Work in Progress” just like you are. God’s not finished with us yet. I hope you have a blest and joyful day. May God console and heal the sick, if it is His Will. Sometimes God says Yes, No, Nothing or Wait. Be patient in your afflictions. God will help you.

I talked to a young girl obviously on drugs, getting ready to work one night, as a stripper, ordering a pizza at Cottage Inn Pizza, with her boyfriend. We were all waiting, for our pizza’s to come out of the ovens.

She said, she was a stripper. I asked her why don’t you put your clothes on and not take them off. She said she did that once. I told her about Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima’s messages about Modesty and Purity. Then, she showed me a Medal of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima, she found on the street. I told her to kiss that Medal before she went to sleep. She said she did. I told her October 7th is the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Rosary.

It turns out, she said her Birthday, is on Our Lady of the Rosary’s Feast Day. I told her how amazed I was that Our Lady of the Rosary was working in her heart and soul, and to keep; asking, seeking, and knocking on Christ’s heart for the Truths she seeks.

She was more open to my suggestions because she was higher than a kite, on drugs. Please pray for her. I sensed the guy with her, may have been her pimp or boyfriend. Pray for him too. As will I. I never forget to pray for all I promised to pray for. If I do, God reminds me. That’s the Economy of Salvation. We are all in this together. When I fall into sin, I too, need a hand up, and a prayer. Thanks for reading this. I hope it helped you.

“Jesus I trust in You.” ~ Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska. (Suggested reading this great book. It’s applicable to the times we are living in.)

Get a good Catholic Bible, get it blessed by a Priest or Deacon and read it a little bit every day or at least on Sunday. Or read the online Catholic Bible on the United States Catholic Conference of Bishop’s website. USCCB website. The whole Bible is online there.

20111228-102441.jpg

Read the Lives of the Saints. They speak of their ideas on their Interior Life with Christ, too. You won’t be disappointed. I guarantee it.

Have a great day. Love/Prayers, Catholic Glasses.

PS. Jesus came as a little baby, so that we would not be afraid to love Him. Why did God create us? God created us; to Know, Love, and Serve Him, to be with Him forever, in heaven. God is love. Love, love in return. His love, never disappoints. He will challenge you to change, because He loves you. He wants you to be holy. He wants you to become a saint. Pray for yourself and others. Offer up even your pain as a prayer for others, when you are to sick, to pray. Grow in your knowledge, love and service to God and your neighbor. Give God your all. He did, when He gave us His Only Begotten Son, Jesus! Bow your heads, when you hear or read His Holy Name! Jesus, loves you. Love Him, in return.

20111228-103545.jpg

*** Pray a prayer for me, today. I asked God for a healing and God allowed me to be sick more. He has His reasons, for saying “No.” Trust Him. Either He will make you wait, or want you to seek a doctor’s expertise, to effect a healing. “Do not abhor the Physician, for the need you have for him. For all healing comes from God.” (Someplace in Ecclesiasticus or Ecclesiasties. This book in the Bible may have been re-named, after Vatican II.) I memorize Scripture verses, not chapter and verse, numbers.

USCCB – Gospel of Saint John – Chapter 15

http://www.usccb.org/bible/john/15/

Since I like to garden, I like this chapter of St John’s Gospel Chapter 15 very much.

God is Love. We must love Love in return. God thinks of you every second of the day. If he ceased to think, of you, you would cease to exist. Can you not think of God everyday? Take a walk and talk to Him and seek His Will for you. The love you seek, is God. He loves you eternally.

I hope the USCCB Bishops don’t mind me copying and pasting this Gospel of St John Chapter 15, onto my website. I was so enamored by it, that I kept it, in context, as a whole chapter. I hope it helps you to love God, if you have never thought God loves you, this Chapter 15, from the Gospel of St John, will encourage you never to doubt His Love for you ever again.
Enjoy!

*I am the true vine,* and my Father is the vine grower.

He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes, so that it bears more fruit.

You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.

Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.

I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.

Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.

By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.

As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love.

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

“I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.

This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.

No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

You are my friends if you do what I command you.

I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends,* because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.

It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.

This I command you: love one another.

If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first.

If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you.

Remember the word I spoke to you, ‘No slave is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

And they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin; but as it is they have no excuse for their sin.

Whoever hates me also hates my Father.

If I had not done works among them that no one else ever did, they would not have sin; but as it is, they have seen and hated both me and my Father.

But in order that the word written in their law* might be fulfilled, ‘They hated me without cause.

“When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth that proceeds from the Father, he will testify to me.

And you also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

Matthew’s Gospel – Chapter 14 (USCCB)

Matthew
Chapter 14

At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the reputation of Jesus

and said to his servants, “This man is John the Baptist. He has been raised from the dead; that is why mighty powers are at work in him.”

Now Herod had arrested John, bound (him), and put him in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip,

for John had said to him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”

Although he wanted to kill him, he feared the people, for they regarded him as a prophet.

But at a birthday celebration for Herod, the daughter of Herodias performed a dance before the guests and delighted Herod

so much that he swore to give her whatever she might ask for.

Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.”

The king was distressed, but because of his oaths and the guests who were present, he ordered that it be given,

and he had John beheaded in the prison.

His head was brought in on a platter and given to the girl, who took it to her mother.

His disciples came and took away the corpse and buried him; and they went and told Jesus.

When Jesus heard of it, he withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself. The crowds heard of this and followed him on foot from their towns.

When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, and he cured their sick.

When it was evening, the disciples approached him and said, “This is a deserted place and it is already late; dismiss the crowds so that they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves.”

(Jesus) said to them, “There is no need for them to go away; give them some food yourselves.”

But they said to him, “Five loaves and two fish are all we have here.”

Then he said, “Bring them here to me,”

and he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.

They all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up the fragments left over 6 –twelve wicker baskets full.

Those who ate were about five thousand men, not counting women and children.

Then he made the disciples get into the boat and precede him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds.

After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When it was evening he was there alone.

Meanwhile the boat, already a few miles offshore, was being tossed about by the waves, for the wind was against it.

During the fourth watch of the night, he came toward them, walking on the sea.

When the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were terrified. “It is a ghost,” they said, and they cried out in fear.

At once (Jesus) spoke to them, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”

Peter said to him in reply, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.”

He said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus.

But when he saw how (strong) the wind was he became frightened; and, beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

After they got into the boat, the wind died down.

Those who were in the boat did him homage, saying, “Truly, you are the Son of God.”

After making the crossing, they came to land at Gennesaret.

When the men of that place recognized him, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought to him all those who were sick

and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak, and as many as touched it were healed.

Haitian Pieta: Man Carries His Dead Daughter: USCCB CRS Appeal Jan 16/17

U.S. Bishops Mourn Devastation in Haiti, Urge Special Collection January 16-17 to Support Efforts of USCCB, CRS

WASHINGTON—The Church mourns the terrible suffering of the people of Haiti, and parishes across the country are urged to take up a special collection the weekend of January 16-17 for the humanitarian efforts of the U.S. bishops and Catholic Relief Service (CRS) in Haiti, according to a January 13 letter to Catholic bishops of the United States from Cardinal Francis George of Chicago and Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York.
