The Five First Saturdays of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima

In a letter given by Sister Lucia to Fr. Jose Bernardo Gonzalves on June 12, 1930, she said while in the convent chapel on the night of May 29-30, Our Lord revealed the reason for the five Saturdays.

“My daughter, the motive is simple: there are five ways in which people offend, and blaspheme against the Immaculate heart of Mary.

1. The blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception.

2. Against her virginity

3. Against the divine maternity, refusing at the same time t o accept her as the Mother of all mankind.

4. Those who try publicly to implant in the children’s hearts, indifference, contempt and even hate against this Immaculate Mother.

5. Those who insult her directly in her sacred images.”

1. Confession (can be 8 days before or after, First Saturday)

2. Holy Communion

3. Five Decades of the Rosary

4. Meditate on the Mysteries of the Rosary for 15 Minutes

DEVOTION OF THE FIVE FIRST SATURDAYS

The Five First Saturdays Devotion

On 5 Consecutive First Saturdays of the Every Month:
With the intention, in the heart, of making reparation to Mary for the sins committed against her, her name, her initiatives and images of her.

* Go to Confession (8 days before or after, better before, but with this intention)
* Receive Communion in a state of grace
* Say a five-decade rosary
* Meditate on the 15 mysteries for 15 minutes

The Five First Saturday’s

The Child Jesus spoke these words, to Sister Lucia:

“Have pity on the heart of your Most Holy Mother. It is covered with thorns, with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment and there is no one to remove them, with an Act of Reparation.”

Our Lady was holding a heart encircled with sharp thorns and then She said to Sister Lucia:

“Behold my heart surrounded with the thorns which ungrateful men place therein at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude.

You at least try to console me. Announce in my name that I promise to help at the hour of death, with the graces needed for salvation, whoever on the First Saturday of five consecutive months shall:

1. Confess and receive Holy Communion;

2. Recite five decades of the Rosary;

3. Keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to me.”

Why did Jesus request Five Saturdays?

Five first Saturdays are in Reparation for the Sins Committed Against The Immaculate Heart of Mary:

1. Attacks upon Mary’s Immaculate Conception

2. Attacks against her Perpetual Virginity

3. Attacks upon her Divine Maternity and the refusal to accept her as the Mother of all Mankind

4. In Reparation for those who try to publicly implant in children’s hearts indifference, contempt and even hatred of this Immaculate Mother

5. Reparation for those who insult Her in her Sacred Images.
