St. Stanislaus – Patron Saint of Broken Bones

20130412-005111.jpg

Belated thanks, to Saint Stanislaus, Patron Saint of Broken Bones. His feast day is April 11th. His brother beat him to the point of breaking his bones.

Us Catholics have Patron Saints for every situation. I was curious about him, tonight and I am glad I looked him up. I found a charming article about him, from Sister Martha’s Blog.

St Jude Thaddeus Patron Saint of Hope Prayer

St Jude Thaddeus

St. Jude, glorious apostle, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of difficult and desperate cases. Pray for me who am so miserable. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you to bring visible and speedy help where help was almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly — (here make your request) — and that I may praise God with you and all the elect throughout all eternity.

I promise you, 0 blessed JUDE, to be ever mindful of this great favor. I will honor you as my special and powerful patron and encourage devotion to you.

St. Jude, pray for us and for all who honor and invoke your aid.

(October 28th is the Feast Day of Ss Simon and Jude) However, on a Sunday, we do not honor them at Mass. We worship Christ the Lord.)

June 13th Feast of St Anthony. Live from Padua, Italy.

June 13th Feast of St Anthony. Live from Padua, Italy. BasilicaDelSanto.org

St Anthony was born in Lisbon, Portugal. He died in Padua, Italy. One of my sisters, travelled with me to Lisbon and Fatima, Portugal, in 1983. I got to see the birthplace of St Anthony. He is Patron Saint of the Poor. At first he was an Augustinian and then he became a Franciscan. He is called “the Hammer of Heretics.” I love St Anthony, very, very much. He can be very funny and very serious. I have had two different dreams, about him. Someday, I will post about those two dreams. Needless to say, he loves me a lot. I love you Saint Anthony. Happy Feast Day, dear friend.

SAINT ANTHONY CATHOLIC PATRON SAINT OF LOST THINGS

20120613-033815.jpg

Unfailing Prayer to Saint Anthony
Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.

O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures made you worthy, when on
earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore of you to obtain for me (request). The answer to my prayer may require a miracle. Even so, you are the Saint of Miracles.

O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the
Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms, and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours.

Amen.

(Say 13 Paters, Aves, and Glorias)

Prayer to St. John Nepomucene as your Patron Saint

20120516-022909.jpg

Prayer to St. John Nepomucene
as your Patron Saint

Saint John Nepomucen, whom I have chosen as my special patron, pray for me that I, too, may one day glorify the Blessed Trinity in heaven. Obtain for me your lively faith, that I may consider all persons, things, and events in the light of almighty God. Pray, that I may be generous in making sacrifices of temporal things to promote my eternal interests, as you so wisely did.

Set me on fire with a love for Jesus, that I may thirst for His sacraments and burn with zeal for the spread of His kingdom. By your powerful intercession, help me in the performance of my duties to God, myself and all the world.

Win for me the virtue of purity and a great confidence in the Blessed Virgin. Protect me this day, and every day of my life. Keep me from mortal sin. Obtain for me the grace of a happy death. Amen

Newsweek Canonizes Obama as Patron Saint of Gays!

20120514-034925.jpg

May 21, 2012 article by Andrew Sullivan who is a Gay Journalist for Newsweek.

No end to the shameful public stuff, this bunch does.

God has already weighed in, on this issue. So it is irrelevant, what Obama and the LGBT Community says about their lifestyle. It is intrinsically disordered. Let’s hope this journalist is wrong. One should never define themselves by their past. Obama’s daughters should not have to deal with this stuff, during their formative years. It is selfish to put your kids through all this drama. Parents will be held accountable to God, on how they raised their kids.
