Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord

Reading 1 Acts 1:1-11

In the first book, Theophilus, I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught until the day he was taken up, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he had suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. While meeting with them, he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for “the promise of the Father about which you have heard me speak; for John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
When they had gathered together they asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight. While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them. They said, Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”

Responsorial Psalm Ps 47:2-3, 6-7, 8-9

R. (6) God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord. or: R. Alleluia.
All you peoples, clap your hands, shout to God with cries of gladness, For the LORD, the Most High, the awesome, is the great king over all the earth.
R. God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord. or: R. Alleluia.
God mounts his throne amid shouts of joy; the LORD, amid trumpet blasts. Sing praise to God, sing praise; sing praise to our king, sing praise.
R. God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord. or: R. Alleluia.
For king of all the earth is God; sing hymns of praise. God reigns over the nations, God sits upon his holy throne.
R. God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord. or: R. Alleluia.

Reading 2 Eph 1:17-23

Brothers and sisters: May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of him. May
the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that
belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the
holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe,
in accord with the exercise of his great might: which he worked in Christ, raising
him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens, far above every
principality, authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is named not only
in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things beneath his feet and
gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of
the one who fills all things in every way.

Or Heb 9:24-28; 10:19-23

Christ did not enter into a sanctuary made by hands, a copy of the true one,
but heaven itself, that he might now appear
before God on our behalf. Not that he might offer himself repeatedly,
as the high priest enters each year into the sanctuary
with blood that is not his own; if that were so, he would have had to suffer
repeatedly from the foundation of the world.
But now once for all he has appeared at the end of the ages to take away sin by
His Sacrifice.
Just as it is appointed
that men and women die once, and after this the judgment, so also Christ,
offered once to take away the sins of many, will
appear a second time, not to take away sin but to bring salvation
to those who eagerly await him.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, since through the blood of Jesus
we have confidence of entrance into the sanctuary
by the new and living way he opened for us through the veil,
that is, his flesh, and since we have a great priest over
the house of God, let us approach with a sincere heart and in absolute trust,
with our hearts sprinkled clean from an
evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water. Let us hold unwaveringly
to our confession that gives us hope, for he
who made the promise is trustworthy.

Gospel Lk 24:46-53

Jesus said to his disciples:

“Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in His Name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
+

Then he led them out as far as Bethany, raised his hands, and blessed them. As he blessed them he parted from them and was taken up to heaven. They did him homage and then returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and they were continually in the temple praising God.

Reading 1

DN 3:25, 34-43

Azariah stood up in the fire and prayed aloud:
“For your name’s sake, O Lord, do not deliver us up forever,
or make void your covenant.
Do not take away your mercy from us,
for the sake of Abraham, your beloved,
Isaac your servant, and Israel your holy one,
To whom you promised to multiply their offspring
like the stars of heaven,
or the sand on the shore of the sea.
For we are reduced, O Lord, beyond any other nation,
brought low everywhere in the world this day
because of our sins.
We have in our day no prince, prophet, or leader,
no burnt offering, sacrifice, oblation, or incense,
no place to offer first fruits, to find favor with you.
But with contrite heart and humble spirit
let us be received;
As though it were burnt offerings of rams and bullocks,
or thousands of fat lambs,
So let our sacrifice be in your presence today
as we follow you unreservedly;
for those who trust in you cannot be put to shame.
And now we follow you with our whole heart,
we fear you and we pray to you.
Do not let us be put to shame,
but deal with us in your kindness and great mercy.
Deliver us by your wonders,
and bring glory to your name, O Lord.”

Responsorial Psalm

PS 25:4-5AB, 6 AND 7BC, 8-9

R. (6a) Remember your mercies, O Lord.
Your ways, O LORD, make known to me;
teach me your paths,
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my savior.
R. Remember your mercies, O Lord.
Remember that your compassion, O LORD,
and your kindness are from of old.
In your kindness remember me,
because of your goodness, O LORD.
R. Remember your mercies, O Lord.
Good and upright is the LORD;
thus he shows sinners the way.
He guides the humble to justice,
he teaches the humble his way.
R. Remember your mercies, O Lord.

Gospel

MT 18:21-35

Peter approached Jesus and asked him,
“Lord, if my brother sins against me,
how often must I forgive him?
As many as seven times?”
op
Jesus answered,
“I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.
That is why the Kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king
who decided to settle accounts with his servants.
When he began the accounting,
a debtor was brought before him who owed him a huge amount.
Since he had no way of paying it back,
his master ordered him to be sold,
along with his wife, his children, and all his property,
in payment of the debt.
At that, the servant fell down, did him homage, and said,
‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back in full.’
Moved with compassion the master of that servant
let him go and forgave him the loan.
When that servant had left, he found one of his fellow servants
who owed him a much smaller amount.
He seized him and started to choke him, demanding,
‘Pay back what you owe.’
Falling to his knees, his fellow servant begged him,
‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.’
But he refused.
Instead, he had him put in prison
until he paid back the debt.
Now when his fellow servants saw what had happened,
they were deeply disturbed, and went to their master
and reported the whole affair.
His master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant!
I forgave you your entire debt because you begged me to.
Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant,
as I had pity on you?’
Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers
until he should pay back the whole debt.
So will my heavenly Father do to you,
unless each of you forgives your brother from your heart.”

I support Israel

I stand with Israel.

However; If the Mossad is behind September 11th, I condemn that SIN.

I am a realist. Israel is the Nation Christ took His Blood from.

The Catholic Church and Heaven is the New Jerusalem. Jesus, I trust in You! The Messiah.

A look into the Life of Mary of Nazareth

When it comes to Mary of Nazareth, where is the line drawn between her true history and what many consider simply traditions? That very issue was addressed by German author, Michael Hesemann.

St Elizabeth Feast Day Nov 5 – Mother of St John the Baptist

“Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.”

Gospel Reading

“Mary set out and went with haste to a Judean town in the hill country, where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leaped in her womb.

And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed with a loud cry, ‘Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And why has this happened to me, that the mother of my Lord comes to me? For as soon as I heard the sound of your greeting, the child in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her by the Lord.’ And Mary said, ‘My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour, for he has looked with favour on the lowliness of his servant. Surely, from now on all generations shall call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.

The Lord’s mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty.

The Lord has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, according to the promise he made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.

And Mary remained with Elizabeth about three months and then returned to her home.” [From: Luke 1:39-56]

20th Century Battlefields – 1973 Yom Kippur War – Part 1/6

I think Israel is going to go to war with Iran, by Yom Kippur 2012. I think a lot of people feel it is going to happen whether we want it to or not. God help us. What a mess! “Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us all.” God loves everybody.

If Yom Kippur is a Day of Atonement where Jews fast and pray all day, “Why would they or their enemies be planning to be on the alert of a war, with everybody else?” I think they are out-numbered, brave, but trigger happy to return talk of war. Yet, Iran is provoking them. I just wish they would not allow themselves to be provoked. No one in this world will survive an atomic war. That is why Iran is usually just puffing themselves up with talk of war. Pride goeth before the fall, in Iran’s case. Prayers going up for all of them.

Osama bin Laden’s crazy jihad speech 2001

I read and listened to his speech for the first time. I can see how folks follow him. He is very convincing. However, towards the end he shows his heightened hatred for America and Israel as lessor creations of God, than he and Muslims are. That is pure craziness. To say God loves Muslims, but not Christians or Jews. The same God that make him, makes us all. And, no I will never be a Muslim. I think you’re crazy. Sure our government sins, but so do you and your governments.  RIP bin Laden. You were already judged by God.

Dr. Steve Pieczenik: Bin Laden – The Oswald Like Patsy Died 10 Years Ago! 1/7

Again: I do not know what to think of this video. I present it, because it is another view of politics, from an insider retired from, in the U.S. Government. You can believe it or not. I haven’t watched it yet. I post it for later viewing. I cannot watch everything. But, I will watch it, to be better informed. I like to know all sides of an issue, and later, after prayer, and more evidence, figure it out for myself, if it is true.

You can view on YouTube the rest of these videos, if you’re interested, yourself. I just wanted to get you curious, about news, too. The first related article’s link looks very compelling. After listening to Dr. Steve Pieczenik on Alex Jones Channel on YouTube, I began to think the drama of the Seal Team 6 Book, must be a fraud. And, sure enough the first link on the below “related articles” takes on my hunch. I have great hunches, I guess.

Steve Pieczenik – U.S. Ambassador Killing an Inside Job – InfoWars.com

According to Steve Pieczenik, a Jewish man who came out of the Holocaust says; This U.S. Ambassador, Chris Stevens’s Killing was a Saudi Intel and an Israeli Intel Job.

I really do not know if he is telling the truth, based on facts, or if his statements are just “speculations.” I just present it here, as a hypothesis.

You can believe it or not. I like presenting all sides of an issue, to ferret out the truth. Thus, my many sources, even outside of the United States. I take into count, the propaganda out there, that exploits emotions, on all sides. I am prone to this fault myself, sometimes. Mea culpa for that. But, the news and more so, the PURE UN-Adulterated Truth … means a lot to me.
