I needed a reprieve from hellish news. “Thx b2 God.”
I’m glad I’m Catholic!
We have the Menu aka the Bible – and the Holy Meal aka JESUS – Who is truly present in the Holy Eucharist!
Of course, I cannot sit on my laurels and expect God to do it all. GOD expects me to be a good Catholic. I’m working at it.
I wish everybody in the whole wide world; would want to be Catholic, too!
The alternative is floundering w/o a compass, like the cartoon below.
Even though I have had the Seal of Confession violated, and been attacked in a gazillion psychological and evil ways within the Confessional ~ I still go to Confession. However, I have to be smarter and discern where to go to Confession. I consider that it is just the devil acting through them. I have to pray for them, do good to them and do penance for them. And, myself as well, when I react the wrong way to their sins. After all, Jesus would expect me to bench press this heavy cross, with Him. And, not wimp out and not carry it. The soil of hard hearts will be tilled by it. Mine included.
The Catholic Sacrament of Confession is the “Mercy Seat” talked about in the Old Testament. It is the Sacrament of Mercy and Reconciliation, and it’s also called the Sacrament of Penance. Mine here lately seem like the later.
One priest has tried in my home parish to make amends. Seems men don’t say their sorry, they show it. Least ways that is what I’ve observed. Go Figure. Tis life. One drops one cross and picks up another every day we wake up. Some are feather weight and some are very heavy and we may need help shouldering it. That’s when God sends either a Veronica and a Simon of Cyrene, or just one or the other. I personally only like getting a Veronica to help me carry my cross and the BVM. Having a Simon of Cyrene help isn’t always really easy to tolerate. They do not like helping you and complain. So those kinds of helpers really do not help, but add to the weight of your crosses. I call them, “Cross Jumpers” because they really end up, jumping up and down on the back of your cross, when they give faux help. I wonder if Jesus felt like this too.
It’s times like this, that I make a Spiritual Holy Communion. Especially when I see a Mass on TV or on EWTN. The Actual Graces from a Spiritual Holy Communion helps me have a good night sleep, when I see Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament before going to sleep. I pray that my ex will want to become a Roman Catholic before he dies. I hope my kids remembered him on his birthday.
I prefer not going face to face, but I am older now and infirm and I have to sit down. The only chair in a confession is on the side of the screen that is face to face. I really hope the Pope goes back to only having behind the screen confessions. It helps. I just wish Confession wasn’t such a battle ground. I am getting so tired of it.
I told Fr XYZ, my confessor, in the very early 1990′s that I asked God to suffer more. He told me I shouldn’t have asked God that. Too late. God really answered that prayer to a “T.” Since then, I have asked God to “knock it off,” when I’m desparate. I tell Him, “I am not able to shoulder such crosses and frankly I’m all tired out, from them.” God listened to my exasperations, on Sunday. I hope He asks someone younger and more capable to shoulder those sized crosses. My shoulder is weather worn. On Monday, He lessoned all my crosses. So, that was indeed, very kind of Him, to grant my request. I am thankful. I am tired of drama from hateful people. I just think it is so rude. And, unnecessary. But, the worst of it is over. Jesus is the Judge of the Living and the Dead. Rash Judging is for the birds, not people. And, God forbids it.
Do Consider becoming a Catholic and Go to Confession frequently; at least once a month. It helps ready the soul for heaven.

In the 1990′s - Some former priest at St Z called God “Mother-Father God” and I was so disgusted, I knelt for Holy Communion. That evil priest refused to give me Holy Communion. However, I knew that Jesus was “whole and entire” under both Species of Holy Communion, so I received the Chalice of the Blood of Christ, from the Eucharistic Minister. This priest was mad, because I did that. **A college student, from Stuebenville University saw what happened and promised to write a letter to the Bishop, defending me and telling the Bishop, what he saw. So, it did not take long for that bad priest, to be replaced, with a similar Gay Priest. So, that rotten insane, crazy, evil Bishop, only did a “sleight of hand” but, no real changes, were done for the salvation of, that Catholic Parish.
That, now deceased Bishop, could pray all the rosaries in the world, but he failed as a Catholic Bishop. If your prayer life, does not affect your priesthood, then you are really not praying well, nor do you believe in the Church’s Teachings. I couldn’t stand that Bishop, either. My parish priest got after him, for allowing Rev Eugene Kennedy to teach heresy and psycho-babble anti-Catholicism in our Diocese. This is a Socialist and Communist technique of ”re-education.” I never bought this bunch of malarkey. If this Bishop was insane, it is probably because of “un-confessed” mortal sin. His leadership was non-existent. He always took great joy, when he made me cry. So I have never liked him. I began to hide my crying, angry that he could “push my buttons.” Well, he is where he belongs. Dead. Just like he was on earth. Dead Works. Notoriety yet dead works.
This is the same “Rainbow Priest” who had a “Rainbow Religious Goods Store” that had a Gay Bible, in it’s store. I wasn’t born yesterday. I know that priest was not only teaching heresy, but apostasy and schism, as well, to his parishioners. Yet, no Bishop ever excommunicated him. There is a tacit “climate of tolerance, for wolves,“ in most of the Dioceses, in the United States.
The Bishops do nothing to stop the “theft of sheep and lambs,” in their Dioceses. I do not respect these prelates, nor their bad priests.
HOWEVER: I am required to love them, pray for them, do penance for them, but I do not have to obey their invitations to sin. Having had priests as late as 2011, flip me the bird all during my Confession, you can understand my total disdain, for evil priests. So many fall into “the pits” with them, since the 1960′s. And, yet the true rosary praying, conservative ones, are few and far between. Some Priests are sent, and some send folks on a fools journey, stroking their pride – for their money, for their newest endeavor. I am not blind. I know a lot more than I let on. I let God take care of them. If they are being two-faced, which I think they are, in time, or in eternity they will be “found out.”
God always has the last laugh, not them.
I like Cardinal Arinze, because he speaks the TRUTH.
During the 13th century St. Anthony of Padua was reported to have converted a hardened heretic through a rather unique contest. The heretic, by the name of Bononillo, was unmoved by the reasoning of the “hammer of heretics,” as St. Anthony was called. Bononillo was as stubborn as the mule that stood beside him.
Eyeing the mule, Anthony made an offer to Bononillo. He asked him whether he would give up his heresy if the mule were to bow down and adore its Creator present in the Blessed Sacrament. The heretic answered he would, provided he could lay down certain conditions: for two days the mule was not to be fed, and on the third day it was to be led into the public square. On one side of the square would be placed a tempting pile of fresh feed, on the opposite side Anthony could stand with what Bononillo contemptuously called the “body of Christ.” Anthony agreed, but in all humility made one condition. If the animal did not kneel before the Blessed Sacrament, his sins alone were to be blamed.
The day arrived for this strange contest and the square was crowded with people. When the derisive Bononillo arrived with his half-starved mule, he was fully confident that his mule had sense and appetite enough to go after the feed. But he was wrong. Anthony had implored his Lord in the intervening two days for the soul of this heretic. God did not let his faithful servant down. When turned loose, the mule without the least hesitation advanced towards Anthony and knelt in an attitude of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. With much emotion and contrition the heretic too fell on his knees and gave up his heresy. As wonderful as these miracles are the greatest of all, transubstantiation, has to be viewed with the eyes of faith.
“Leave your parishioners in peace, and not in pieces.”
Praise God somebody in the hierarchy finally said it!
Cardinal Arinze is Prefect of the Sacraments in the Vatican.
No offense to Benedict XVI whom I dearly love,
but, I was secretly hoping God would pick Cardinal Arinze as our next Pope. He is so good.

To Give Hope and Encouragement through the Word of God
" The “door of faith” (Acts 14:27) is always open for us, ushering us into the life of communion with God and offering entry into his Church. It is possible to cross that threshold when the word of God is proclaimed and the heart allows itself to be shaped by transforming grace. To enter through that door is to set out on a journey that lasts a lifetime." Benedict XVI
