Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream-Coat

Cute Short Clip of the Movie:

Having been my mom’s “favorite daughter” among five daughters, I can identify with Joseph.

I did not get a “Dream Coat,” but doting and favoritism. :-/

I tell you what, it wasn’t until I said it to my sisters, that I did not like being the favorite, and with it came distinctions, I never wanted, that they backed off.

Word of wisdom to parents: Don’t have a “favorite child.” Why? Because you’re setting that kid up to fail, or rather his/her siblings to fail out of jealousy and ranker, you set those conditions for.

So, parent wisely.

*Inspired to write this after hearing the story of Joseph in the first scripture reading, at Mass, today.

May I suggest watching: “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream-Coat,” movie. It’s a hoot!!!
