Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, addressed the United Nations during the General Assembly on the Rule of Law. Mamberti, who serves as the Vatican’s Foreign Minister, said that a majority vote doesn’t always equate to a just law.

The interests of stronger countries should not trump weaker countries. And, Mamberti went on to quote Pope Benedict who said, that the laws imposed by Hitler were approved democratically and lawfully, despite their evil nature.

Touche’! About time the United Nations get a dose of reality and a “wake up call” from the Pope and his Archbishop. I am thankful.
