I Love the Pope! ANGELUS 2012-10-14

I know enough Latin, to be able to answer the second part of the Angelus Prayer, in English after the Pope prays the first part. I answer the second part of the Gloria Patri, in English, when the Pope says the first part. In English it’s called the Glory be to the Father Prayer. I love to pray. I want to pray, even better, more mindfully. But, I do have to cut myself some slack. I have been painting my house all week and the Oil-Based Paint is affecting my health, my dog and my cat’s health. Mea Culpa, if I come across weird. Brain Damage is a side effect of Mineral Spirits…yet I have no idea what this paint is doing to my health. I just have to trust God.

The Pope mentions a little reflection, based on the Gospel of that Sunday, to people of several different languages, before leading them in the Prayer called “The Angelus” and three Gloria Patri prayers follow it. This is the first week, the Pope began to read a little message to folks in Arabic speaking nations. Aww. That’s so nice of the Pope. Very Ecumenical and timely, so they will hear the Word of God, in their language and be lifted up, by the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit, within their souls. The Word of God allows touches hearts and minds, if the soul does not resist Him.
