Kiss The Rain (Live w/ HD) – Yiruma

Yiruma plays this song differently, just like I do, when I play my songs. Great minds think alike, I guess. Except, he likes performing and I do not. I am not an extrovert, per se. Performing is not my forte. Composing is.

We have all heard the term "corporate takeovers", but this is far beyond that term. We the people expect to be governed by those WE place in office, so what has happened ? Are we now ruled only by the elite and their global corporations ? Ineligible candidates keep swirling in the pot for our key positions in government, so is that it ?

“Everybody is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it’ll spend its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
Albert Einstein

It is well known in the world of academia that each student learns differently. At the very least, there are multiple ways in which humans may learn. In spite of this knowledge, teachers are taught to teach in only a few remote ways which then applies to only select students.

Our Fingerprints are “One of a Kind!” Very young kids, must learn that they are uniquely made by God. This is a good goal, to teach them.

However: there must be a balance, with teaching this notion. It’s rife with the “potential” for a sin of false pride or presumption. I just had to post this, to get you thinking. FOX News’ Bill O’Reilly’s “The O’Reilly Factor” got me, to thinking. I think an adult thinking this can be a very obnoxious and very narcissistic!

So, telling College or High School Graduates the cold, hard facts, that the world isn’t going to treat you special is refreshing notion to hear discussed.

There has to be a realistic “balance,” in thinking of one’s uniqueness. We have a duty to serve one another, and God.

But, this pre-occupation with one’s personal exceptionalism, can turn into Narcissism. I think this is Obama’s Problem. No one probably ever told him, he’s wrong. Or told him “No.” Parents who raise their kids like that do a great disservice; to their future employer, nation or family.

Narcissism is a bonafide personality disorder.

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder in which the individual is described as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity. This condition affects one percent of the population. First formulated in 1968, it was historically called megalomania, and it is closely linked to egocentrism.

Narcissism can be cured with Catechesis and a good Confession, Spiritual Direction and/or Spiritual Reading. It’s rooted in the Sin of Pride, which is a violation of the 1st Commandment. It is also can be rooted in the sins of Vanity and Presumption. So, discerning in prayer helps, and confessing it and asking your confessor about it, will help you to grow in wisdom, age and strength of character.

I always want to point towards Christ and the Church and a good counselor for notions or sins that only God and professionals or a good friend can help you with. One that will keep you honest and not just agree, with everything that comes out of your mouth.

Well, that’s all I could think, to say on this topic. I think I’ve pretty much squeezed out of this topic all I can possibly think of about it.

And, yes. You are Special! Just keep a balanced view about it.
