Rebound Headaches and the Sacred Heart of Jesus

I must have a tired out liver. I only took one NSAID last Saturday, and one NSAID two weeks ago. That’s all it takes to get a “rebound” headache. Too many headaches this week, but today seems to be an extra special cross. I am trying, to tough it out, w/o an over-the-counter pain reliever.

I went to First Friday Mass, and Jesus stayed with me for about 45 minutes. That was so sweet of Him. He is such a good friend.

I offered up my headache, Mass and Holy Communion today for Chen Guangcheng to have his crown of thorns removed and for me, to wear it instead of him. I hoped that God would give Chen the respite he so desperately deserves.

“Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You, have Mercy on us and may your Kingdom come; on earth as it is in heaven.”

State Department spokeswoman, Victoria Nuland, says New York University (NYU) has offered a Fellowship to Study in the USA, for China’s Chen Guangcheng. NYU has offered Chen, to be able to come to the United States, on a Visa for him and his immediate family. The Visa is only for a few months.

My Two Cents Worth

Obviously, China and the US Diplomats get to “save face” however, does this really help Chen Guangcheng? Does anyone get it, that he has probably got PTSD, and needs to adjust? That this is just heavy cosmetics, on a terrible human rights issue. If his future is still not stable, how is he going to settle down? He needs to be able to feel at home here, and feel safe here, and so does his family. I hope this works out for him. It remains to be seen. I will continue to pray for Chen, his family and for China.

“Chen also told CNN that after he escaped, his wife was tied to a chair in their home for two days. Guards carried sticks into their home and threatened to beat her to death. They also moved into their house, eating at their table and using their belongings. They have installed seven surveillance cameras inside their home. These facts convinced Chen that it would not be safe for him or his family to remain in China. He did not learn these facts until he was reunited with his wife in the hospital.”

(I deleted the many organizations that are earning a “buck off” of Chen Guangcheng. I am not in agreement with any woman who says it’s not about whether you’re pro-choice or not. That is just plain “blarney!” I won’t give a dad gum dime to organizations who really do not help that person but build and organization on a House of Cards.)
