We all take things for granted sometimes.  Forgetting to realise how fortunate we are.  Failing to appreciate the time and effort that people have taken to include us in their lives.  It shouldn't happen... but unfortunately it does.

Sometimes I forget how fortunate I am.

When I started out on this photographic journey a little over a year ago... I didn't really have any concrete goals in mind.

Beautiful thoughts of love and gratitude. Such a gift to see what your eyes have seen, too. I love nature. I used to live on large ranches and farms - so I miss that silence to reflect, that Nature affords us. Thanks for share your gifts, with us. Truly your soul is a gift to us, who follow you.Thank you very much, for so many affirmations. Greatly appreciated.

"THE FARMER GETS A TICKET"

Reblogged from THOUGHTS OF AN OLD MAN:

After pulling a farmer over for speeding, a state trooper started to lecture him about his speed, pompously implying that the farmer didn't know any better and trying to make him feel as uncomfortable as possible. He finally started writing out the ticket, but had to keep swatting at some flies buzzing around his head.

The farmer said, "Having some problems with circle flies there are ya?"

Pillow Fights and Christ w/o one

Seems Pillow Fights are Pointless, because if it bursts open, then you’re out of a pillow. Being poor, it’s a luxury, I can little afford. 20120417-195433.jpg Why a bunch of wealthy or well off people have Pillow Fight Festivals – All Over The World, on a certain date, seems a wasteful way, to live.

20120417-195945.jpg Poor Folks could’ve used a good pillow, to sleep on. Then, I think of Jesus, Who said…,

“Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head.” Mt 8:20

Of St. Philip Neri, Prayer, Job and the Mass

Personally; I like the Biblical Story of Job. Because Job has been there and done that. And, God thought enough of Job, to have the Catholic Church include the Old Testament Book of Job, in it’s Bible. But, St Philip Neri makes sense, too. And, I appreciate both of their Prayers, before the throne of Christ the King, in heaven. Both would agree that

Mass is Prayer Par Excellence!”

Seems St Philip Neri talked about Prayer, but Job in the Old Testament lived it. I rather like Job, better because his Life Story Is More Pertinent, to me, in my life. His life lessons encourage me to persevere, in prayer, no matter what.

I’ve had fair weather friends, who blamed me, when I was down. With friends like that, you don’t need any enemies. Poor Job could have used a Mute Button. But, he wouldn’t think of offending his critics, like they did him. He was a Gentleman. And, for that God rewarded him, with a new life of hope.

Scripture Readings from Mass of Tuesday of the Second Week of Easter – Born Again!

Reading 1
Acts 4:32-37

The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had everything in common.

With great power the Apostles bore witness, to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great favor was accorded them all.

There was no needy person among them, for those who owned property or houses would sell them, bring the proceeds of the sale, and put them at the feet of the Apostles, and they were distributed to each according to need.

Thus Joseph, also named by the Apostles Barnabas (which is translated Ason of encouragement”), a Levite, a Cypriot by birth, sold a piece of property that he owned, then brought the money and put it at the feet of the Apostles.

Responsorial Psalm
Psalm 93:1ab, 1cd-2, 5

R. The Lord is king; he is robed in majesty.
or:

R. Alleluia.

The LORD is King, in splendor robed;
robed is the LORD and girt about with strength.

R. The Lord is king; he is robed in majesty.

or:

R. Alleluia.

And he has made the world firm,
not to be moved. Your throne stands firm from of old; from everlasting you are, O LORD.

R. The Lord is king; he is robed in majesty.

or:

R. Alleluia.

Your decrees are worthy of trust indeed; holiness befits your house,
O LORD, for length of days.

R. The Lord is king; he is robed in majesty.

or:

R. Alleluia.

Gospel Jn 3:7b-15

Jesus said to Nicodemus:

“‘You must be born from above.’ The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes,
but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nicodemus answered and said to him,
‘How can this happen?”

Jesus answered and said to him, “You are the teacher of Israel and you do not understand this?

Amen, amen, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony. If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?

No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.

And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”

Mississippi Gov. Signs Bill That Could Make it Abortion Free

Mississippi Gov. Signs Bill That Could Make it Abortion Free

“Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant on Monday signed a bill putting new requirements on the books for abortion practitioners who operate in the state.”

“This legislation is an important step in strengthening abortion regulations and protecting the health and safety of women,” Bryant said in a statement. “As governor, I will continue to work to make Mississippi abortion-free.”

Gov. Bryant added: “I believe that all human life is precious, and as governor, I will work to ensure that the lives of the born and unborn are protected in Mississippi. This bill requires all physicians associated with an abortion clinic in Mississippi to be board-certified or eligible in obstetrics and gynecology. To further protect patient safety in the event of a complication during the procedure, this bill also requires the physician to have staff and admitting privileges at a local hospital.”

My Two Cent’s Worth

I am cautiously optimistic. Seems he’s playing both sides of the fence. IMHO.

Time and time again, I’ve seen Politicians lie to themselves, with half lies to help them, to Stay In Power. They end up letting the Devil get a “Foot In Their Doors” and end up, caving into the wrong side.

Either you are for The Unborn’s Life or you are not! There ain’t no Half Assed Thinking in Morality. Either you are Pro-Life or You ARE NOT.

So, I am not so optimistic, that Mississippi’s Unborn Babies Right to Life will be respected, by it’s DOUBLE-TALKING Governor Phil Bryant.

I am not “that” stupid! Neither is GOD!
