What to do with hair that makes the dog look better than you? Ahhhhhhh!

This is not me. Her hair looks like mine. Maybe I should shave it off and wear a wig. No, I better not do that.

Humility. Humility. Humility. I still have hair. It could be worse.

I think I’ll forget about coloring it. Over processing has only made these companies rich, and me and many others look worse.

Seems men look good rain or shine. Women just seem to have to work at it.

Throughout the past week I have been reflecting on redemptive suffering.  I have been focusing on giving my physical pain to Christ in union with his suffering on the cross.  I having to cope with abdominal pain, migraines, and now pain behind and above my eye (around my eyelid) I have also been trying to let go and let God, instead of worrying about these problems.

Search the Highways, Veins, and Pulsation of the Life Before You

Created in God's image and called to know and love him, the person who seeks God discovers certain ways of coming to know him. These are also called proofs for the existence of God, not in the sense of proofs in the natural sciences, but rather in the sense of "converging and convincing arguments," which allow us to attain certainty about the truth.

Truth attacks all hearts. Life draws humanity into quiet awe of God's Creation. His Way, is the only way that brings True Peace. Great thoughts to ponder, this weekend.

Prayer to St Joseph

20120331-170635.jpg

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls – Pray for me.

This prayer was found in the fiftienth year of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In 1505 it was sent from the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle. Whoever shall read this prayer or hear it or keep it about themselves, shall never die a sudden death, or be drowned, not shall posion take effect of them; neither shall they fall into the hands of the enemy; or shall be burned in any fire, or shall be overpowered in battle.

(Say for nine mornings for anything you may desire. It has never been known to fail, so be sure you really want what you ask.)

Psalm 22 – “My God, My God, Oh Why have You abandoned me?”

Responsorial Psalm Ps 22:8-9, 17-18, 19-20, 23-24

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

20120331-143321.jpg

All who see me scoff at me;
they mock me with parted lips, they wag their heads: “He relied on the LORD; let him deliver him, let him rescue him, if he loves him.”

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

Indeed, many dogs surround me,
a pack of evildoers closes in upon me; They have pierced my hands and my feet; I can count all my bones.

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

They divide my garments among them, and for my vesture they cast lots. But you, O LORD, be not far from me; O my help, hasten to aid me.

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

I will proclaim your name to my brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will praise you: “You who fear the LORD, praise him; all you descendants of Jacob, give glory to him; revere him, all you descendants of Israel!”

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

Psalm 22 – My God, Why Have You Abandoned Me

This is my favorite tune, for Psalm 22, however the video is not as Christ centered, as I would want it. I wish the camera was focused on Christ on a Crucifix, for meditation purposes.

I wish I knew who composed this tune, so I could look up other videos. Yet, I am grateful to have found this one.
