Prayed a Rosary for All Affected by the Tornadoes in KS, MO, IL, IN, and KY [RIP]

Tornadoes tore through KS, MO, IL, IN, and KY on February 29, 2012 – Leap Day.

I have lived through a Tornado, when I lived in Missouri; that did damage like this. It makes you scared every time it gets stormy outside, thereafter.

My son used to live in Branson, MO. I sure am glad he doesn’t live there anymore. I have family in MO, IL and KS. And, some are on vacation. I am a bit worried, but I am praying my rosary, right now with Mother Angelica on EWTN. I hope it helps those affected by these unexpected crosses. May those who lost their lives, rest in peace, via the Mercy of God. Tornadoes tore through KS, MO, IL, IN, and KY, on Leap Day, February 29, 2012. May God hug all of you, tonight and every night here after and keep you safe.

Mercy 4 Lent Anybody Can Do!

First Entry comes from the: New Advent website.

The Corporal Works of Mercy

To feed the hungry;
To give drink to the thirsty;
To clothe the naked;
To harbour the harbourless;
To visit the sick;
To ransom the captive;
To bury the dead.

The Spiritual Works of Mercy are:

To instruct the ignorant;
To counsel the doubtful;
To admonish sinners;
To bear wrongs patiently;
To forgive offences willingly;
To comfort the afflicted;
To pray for the living and the dead.

Another Version that is more familiar to me:

The Corporal Works of Mercy

To feed the hungry
To give drink to the thirsty.
To clothe the naked.
To visit and ransom the captives.
To shelter the homeless.
To visit the sick.
To bury the dead.

The Spiritual Works of Mercy

To admonish sinners.
To instruct the ignorant.
To counsel the doubtful.
To comfort the sorrowful.
To bear wrongs patiently.
To forgive all injuries.
To pray for the living and the dead.

My Two Cents Worth

Yup! Us Catholics have thought of everything that makes Being Catholic a Real Nice Experience, to Others we love.

Lord knows My Family has had to Practice “Forbearance all Their Lives,” in loving me. With 19 Injuries and Counting, I should have been born, with Orange Cones, and Pillows all around me, and a few yards of Police Tape.

The Good News is none of it killed me. Yet. Eventually, I’ll get there, for the Final Bow. Until then, don’t push me. I’m not ready, to check out, just yet.

To My Family, thanks for your Love and Mercy. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!

That said, I hope you all have a Happy Lent. Remember: Life’s a Series of Crosses, but let’s not be a unbearable Cross, for Others.

Well….. “Shoulder On!” ….

And, lotsa luck, aka grace!

Remember: All the Way to Heaven can be Heaven or Hell on Earth. You do get, to choose. You have this Task from God, to make your life on earth, a Heaven on Earth – for Others. Not in a “Glitzy Way” like a Pharisee, but in a humble way like the Publican….”Oh God, have Pity on Me — a Sinner.”

It’s the “Sorry” bloke who left Church “Justified” by Jesus, in His Little Story.

Some of us are like the “Ta Da” People who wait for the Lights, Camera, and Action to be called in, when we “toot our own horns!”

That ain’t pretty.

And, it’s no fun, for the person your using for the Catholic Photo Opp either!

Just think how you would feel, if you knew the other person was using you, for their 15 minutes, of fame, and don’t go there, yourself, when that temptation presents itself.

Do your good deeds, for God who is veiled in the Person of Another.

Love Them simply and genuinely. Everyone can palpate, phoniness.

Love and forgive deeply, and corporally or spiritually. 2,012 Years of Catholic Wisdom goes before you, to show you His Way. :D
