Codoms are a fantasy this week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Please Read: This article from “Turtle Bay and Beyond,” on WordPress. They defend the Catholic Faith, with Reason, better than I can. Codoms are a fantasy this week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

My Two Cents Worth:

Ash Wednesday and Lent are reminders, that “You are dust. And, unto dust you shall return.” I guess Catholics in Brazil have forgotten their Catholic Faith, in leau of debauchery. God Bless them with Conversion from Sins of the Flesh. All I know is to pray for them, on my Rosary, Chaplet of Mercy and at Mass. And, to give up little things for them, and for all I love. Getting old has it’s advantages. You are growing closer to the finish line, every day. You bones, pains, and disabilities remind you that you used to be “coming” and now you’re on your way out. It’s only a matter of time, and eternity. I want to see the Face of Christ in all Eternity, not the Ugly Face of Satan. These folks are a sad advertisement, for sin. Their dances take on the look of animals. When folks act worse than animals, no condom is going to protect their bodies, a 100%. No condom is going to protect their souls from what their bodies do. Animals cannot reason. Humans can dull their reason with booze or drugs or sex, but in the end, they face God. They cannot give excuses then. Their own Particular Judgment Day, is a stark reality to their unrealities. I feel sorry for them. And, I highly doubt they know God loves them, or they wouldn’t do this to themselves. They are my Lenten Project. And, even after I “kick the bucket” I will pray for them, in heaven. If I get there. I may miss the mark, but I hope to God I do not. It is a daily struggle to shoulder every cross or even an unexpected joy and say thanks to God for both, and really mean it, w/o being facetious. Or grumbling. May God help us all to care about each other’s eternal salvation. That is the jist of Lent. To Love One Another, as Christ has Loved Us. It’s going to take our effort, and His Grace. Have a great Lent 2012. Pray for me, and I will pray for you, too.
